  1. Nov 10,  · Working for the first time under the production team of Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno, The Unforgettable Fire was a suprising leap forward for U2 after their early post punk material. A very subtle and artful album that showed the band reaching for something more meaningful/5().

  9. Feb 12,  · I just did a quick A/B test of the song Wire (my favorite on this album) between a US promo copy and the remaster CD. The CD is definitely more clear and crisp, though I think the record holds its own regarding detail. While less crisp sounding, the vinyl has richer bass. For this comparison, I prefer the vinyl, but the CD does sound quite.
